26 people in one photo means you only get two shots in before everyone loses interest.  Luckily that’s what I expected when I was assigned official VDB family portrait photographer and I think I pulled it off pretty well.

Overall it was a great night - I got to catch up with all the family, meet the newest member, eat a ton of food and take a portrait of the whole family together.

I’m off to NYC on Monday, should be a good one.  Weather is supposed to be perfect.

Rowdy got to explore the wild jungles of Connecticut today.  I’m headed to Avon tonight, Essex tomorrow and NYC on Monday.  Should be plenty of photos to follow.

Quick edits of a few pics from the Scalpel promo shoot last night.  An abandoned TB hospital in The Middle of Nowhere, MA, at night with no moon, hanging out with a bunch of guys I had never met before…. and it was a ton of fun.  Since it was pitch black I had to shine a flashlight in their eyes in order to focus and couldn’t tell how I was framing the shot.  They put up with it and I think I delivered exactly what they were looking for.

The final individual shots of the characters in Stone Broke.  I’m not too happy with the background they chose (I have to be more persuasive with what I think will work best) but as a set these work well together.

A couple pics from the photo shoot today.  They are promo shots for a web-based sitcom called “Stone Broke”.  The first episode will be online this Thursday.

Even though I had asked a couple guys to hold the light stands because of the wind outside, I almost lost an umbrella after it flew off of the stand.  Fortunately it got wedged under the fence a few feet away, unscathed.

I went out to South Boston tonight to take some shots of the Financial District skyline from the Harbor Walk.  I’m admittedly not a great land/cityscape photographer but I’m fairly happy with the results, although the sky could have had a nice cloud texturing.  I’d love to shoot some people here.  I could definitely get some good stuff with that background.

iPhone photo while running errands in Coolidge Corner.

I took some headshots for a local actor named Mike Piacentini today.  I’m very happy with the outcome, especially these.  Definitely my best portrait work so far.

These were taken outside my place with one flash and sunlight as fill.  We also did some studio shots inside my apartment.

My next shoot, scheduled for Halloween afternoon, is for an online sitcom being developed by a group in Brockton.  Should be a good time.
