I decided I needed to shoot something other than portraits today so I went downtown at dusk to shoot architecture.  I was hoping for a nice sunset but the sky didn’t cooperate.

The story of when I shot these photos 2 years ago just came up last night at dinner so I figured I would dig them out of my backup hard drive.  They are scanned prints from my photo class at BC.

The Story: I saw a red tailed hawk eating a pigeon in the Commons and I started to take some photos of it.  As I was shooting, a random guy came up to me and told me that the hawks are kept on the roof of one of the buildings downtown.  Their job is to fly around the city and eat pigeons.  I have since seen three other hawks eating pigeons but have never found out if they are really kept on a roof downtown.

I went out to South Boston tonight to take some shots of the Financial District skyline from the Harbor Walk.  I’m admittedly not a great land/cityscape photographer but I’m fairly happy with the results, although the sky could have had a nice cloud texturing.  I’d love to shoot some people here.  I could definitely get some good stuff with that background.
